With the majestic High Atlas mountains, Anti-Atlas mountains and Jebel Sahro range, Morocco offers almost limitless trails for the casual walker or serious trekker. All our walking and trekking holidays take place in remote, off-the-beaten-track regions and include stays in traditional Berber villages inhabited by friendly local people who live a life that has changed little over hundreds of years. We offer a range of classic treks as well as gentler walking holidays often based in one or two centres.
TAILOR-MADE TOUBKAL TREKS
Toubkal National Park has at its centre the highest mountain in North Africa. This iconic peak attracts trekkers from around the world attempting to summit Jebel Toubkal. Toubkal can be conquered in as little as two days from Imlil with an overnight at the Toubkal or Mouflon Refuges before the final ascent. Whatever time you can spare we can arrange a Toubkal trek which is tailored to your requirements. Whether it be a 2, 3, 4 or 5 day trek, or perhaps a ‘Grand Trek of the Atlas’, let us know – we’ll be delighted to advise you and arrange the logistics for your trek.
FLEXIBLE WALKING & TREKKING OPTIONS
If you don’t like the idea of changing accommodation each night on a trekking circuit then consider staying at just one or two locations enjoying guided walks to Berber villages and beyond each day. With walks suiting all levels of ability these holidays offer the chance to experience the Atlas on foot returning to your chosen lodge each night. Combining Dar Assarou with Kasbah Africa in the Azzaden Valley, creates a varied walking holiday.
PRIVATE GROUP DEPARTURES
If you are considering arranging a trek or walking holiday for a group of friends, family or work mates we offer special group discounts on exclusive private trek departures.
WHAT WE INCLUDE ON OUR PRIVATE TREKS
On all our trekking holidays you will always be accompanied by an enthusiastic and experienced local team consisting of muleteers, cook and certified mountain guide. Luggage, camp and cooking equipment are transported between locations by sturdy mules leaving you free to walk and enjoy breathtaking panoramas unburdened. At night – depending on your chosen route – you’ll stay in a combination of traditional Berber lodges, mountain refuges or gites, or you may camp out in the Atlas wilderness far away from civilisation. When camping we include all cooking equipment and utensils, spacious 3-person tents (to sleep just 2), foam mattresses (or camp beds), toilet and washing facilities. Sleeping bags can be hired locally or you can bring your own. All meals are included from when you arrive in the mountains – tasty Moroccan breakfasts, picnic lunches and dinners will be prepared by a Berber chef. Private transfers between airport or city and mountain region are by 4x4 or minibus.
